There is no power
There is an on/off button at the rear of the unit near the power cable. Make sure the you have switched the unit on the back. If this still does not work then the problem is most probably be inside the unit where a cable has not been connected properly.
The video is not in syncrhonisation with the audio
In Australia Digital broadcasting uses a PAL format. Currently the unit is operating in NTSC format, it needs to be operating in PAL format. The reason for the synchronisation issue is due to the different frame rates between PAL and NTSC.

There is a buttome on the remote (second last row on the right hand side) labelled PAL/NTSC, this will switch the output of the unit between PAL and NTSC. Alternatively you could change the setting inside the Menu system.
Picture & Sound breaks up for a couple of seconds when a light switch or other electrical appliance is turned on
This problem is called 'Electrical Impulse Noise'. When the light switch or electrical appliance is swtiched on it emits an electrical impulse which interferes with the digital signal coming into the set top box. This is not a fault with the STB unit and all STB units will experience this problem regardless of brands. The DBA suggests using quad shielded cables from the antenna into your STB unit to reduce the effects of EIN.
The Picture & Sound breakes up and a message box appears 'No Signal'
This is a reception issue. When the signal drops below a certain level you will not receive a picture and the sound will break up. This is not a fault with the STB unit.
Teletext does not work
The unit is probably running an old firmware. The latest firmware can be downloaded free from our website on the Support section. You will need a null modem cable to connect between your computer and STB unit.

NB: You need to be on channel 7 to receive Teletext. Press the yellow key button to bring up Teletext option.
How do I receive subtitles/closed captions?
Use the yellow key on remote and press the button to turn subtitles on.
NB: subtitles/closed captions are not broadcast all the time, they are broadcast during prime time, all news and current affairs and selected programs.
