its Modulation Parameters in Canberra/ACT and Wollongong/Illawarra will take

Transmission Australia (TXA) has advised DBA that, due to significant problems
with the installation of transmission equipment on the Gold Coast, the expected
date for the start of commercial digital television transmissions from the two
transmission sites servicing the Gold Coast has been delayed.
The broadcast of commercial digital TV services from Mt. Tamborine and from the
Currumbin transmission site had been expected to begin before the end of the
first quarter 2004, but TXA contractors responsible for the installation and
commissioning of necessary transmission infrastructure have experienced major
difficulties on site.
A delay of some months is now expected.
TXA regrets the delay but will not be able to provide any information about a
possible commencement date for another 2-3 weeks, when contractors have
re-assessed the situation.
The ABC and SBS have been transmitting digital TV services to the Gold Coast
and Currumbin for some time and these services remain unaffected.
